The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1927 by Penhaligon's, Eau de Cologne is a classic Citrus fragrance created by Michael Pickthall. The composition opens with bright citrus notes of bergamot, orange, and lemon, giving way to the fresh spiciness of rosemary and the aromatic richness of neroli. This blend captures the essence of a crisp morning, where the air is invigorating and the senses are heightened.
Due to its high concentration of aromatic and citric notes, Eau de Cologne is best applied in light sprays. It blooms quickly but fades within a few hours, making it perfect for daytime wear or layered over other scents.
