Equinox Bloom by Penhaligon's, launched in 2016 and crafted by perfumer Olivier Cresp, is a floral-oriental fragrance that captures the delicate balance between lightness and warmth. The composition opens with bright neroli and hortensia, creating an airy freshness that gives way to the rich sweetness of brown sugar and frangipani. The heart notes of violet leaf and jasmine sambac add depth, while amber and siam benzoin in the base ground the fragrance with a subtle warmth.
One or two sprays on the pulse points is sufficient. The fresh top notes are vibrant but fleeting, so allow it a moment to settle before heading out. This fragrance reads better close to skin than across a room, making it ideal for intimate settings.
