The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2015 by Rosendo Mateu Olfactive Expressions, NO 1 Bergamot, Tea Leaves, Sandal Wood is a composition that balances freshness and warmth with remarkable poise. The fragrance opens with the bright zest of Calabrian bergamot, green mandarin, and lime peel, creating an invigorating burst of citrus. This vibrant beginning gives way to a heart of rosemary, thyme, sage, and lavender, which infuses the scent with a fresh herbal quality. Green tea adds a subtle earthiness, complemented by notes of cardamom and lily-of-the-valley that provide a delicate floral sweetness. The base of woody sandalwood and white musk grounds the composition, offering a warm and comforting finish.
Apply two sprays to capture the full range from citrus brightness to woody depth. The herbal heart notes are most noticeable within the first hour, so layer lightly for a more nuanced experience throughout the day.
