The story behind the bottle.
Rosendo Mateu launched Nº 4 Saffron, Oud, Vanilla in 2017 as a proof of his mastery of complex accords. This fragrance opens with the bright freshness of Calabrian bergamot and orange blossom before giving way to the rich warmth of saffron and nutmeg. The heart is anchored by oud, jasmine, and iris, while the base notes of vanilla, labdanum, benzoin, and sandalwood create a deep, earthy foundation that lingers long after application. The composition is both bold and comforting, capturing the essence of Spanish elegance with its intricate blend of spices and woods.
Apply two sprays to pulse points for best effect. The spicy top notes fade within an hour but allow the rich base of oud and vanilla to shine through. This fragrance is best worn in cooler weather when its warmth can be fully appreciated.
