The story behind the bottle.
Rosendo Mateu launched Nº 1 Bergamot, Tea Leaf, Sandalwood in 2017 as a Woody Aromatic fragrance that deftly balances bright citrus and aromatic green notes with a warm, powdery base. The composition opens with the zesty freshness of Calabrian bergamot and lime, followed by the herbal greens of sage, rosemary, and thyme. As it evolves, bitter orange blossom and jasmine provide subtle floral warmth before settling into a musky sandalwood finish that is both comforting and slightly powdery.
Start with two sprays — the fresh top notes are bright but fade within an hour. The musky sandalwood base emerges after about 30 minutes and lasts well into evening, so it's best applied in the morning for all-day wear.
