Rosendo Mateu launched Nº 9 Wood, Osmanthus, Vanilla in 2025 as an exploration of warmth and depth. The composition begins with cardamom and elemi, adding a bright yet warm aromatic tension to the mix. As it evolves, osmanthus and orris root bring a soft floral sweetness that is neither too heavy nor too light. The base notes of tobacco, leather, saffron, musk, iris, and vanilla create an enveloping warmth, making this fragrance feel like a comforting embrace.
For best results, apply to pulse points and let it settle for about 15 minutes before going out. The cardamom and elemi notes dissipate quickly, so the heart and base will carry more weight as the day goes on.

From Puig apprentice to Master PerfumerRosendo Mateu began his fragrance career at 15 as an apprentice at the Puig perfumery company in Barcelona, later studying at Master Marcel Carles's Roure School in Grasse, then in Geneva with Arturo Jordi Pey at Firmenich and in Paris with Max Gavarry at IFF.
