The story behind the bottle.
Costa Azzurra by Tom Ford was launched in 2021, capturing the essence of the Mediterranean coast with its aromatic aquatic composition. The fragrance opens with a fresh spicy blend of cardamom and celery seeds, which contrasts beautifully against the citrus notes of lemon and yellow mandarin. As it settles into a woody base, driftwood and agarwood (oud) create an earthy backdrop that is both comforting and complex. Lavender and myrtle lend herbal freshness, while vetiver and oak add depth and warmth.
Apply Costa Azzurra liberally to capture its full complexity. The citrus-spicy top notes are bright but fleeting, so ensure they are followed by the deeper woody and marine accords that bloom over time. It pairs well with layered clothing, allowing the scent to evolve throughout the day.
