Launched in 2024 by Van Cleef & Arpels and crafted by perfumer Sophie Labbé, Musc de Soie is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance that embodies the delicate touch and flowing drape of silk. The composition opens with aldehydes, creating an initial freshness that transitions into the warm embrace of sandalwood, neroli, and benzoin in the heart. As it settles, notes of white musk and cashmeran emerge, providing a soft, second-skin feel. This fragrance is designed to evoke the subtle luxury of silk, combining crisp aldehydic notes with powdery warmth.
For best effect, apply Musc de Soie to pulse points and let it develop naturally. The top note of aldehydes is fleeting but crucial for that initial crispness, so don't skimp on the first spritz. The base notes of white musk and cashmeran take about an hour to fully bloom, making this a scent best worn from afternoon into evening.
