The story behind the bottle.
Bertrand Duchaufour crafted Back to the Roots in 2023 for Vilhelm Parfumerie, a scent that embodies both sophistication and natural earthiness. The composition opens with galbanum and angelica, creating an invigorating green freshness that transitions seamlessly into the heart notes of ambrette (musk mallow) and orris root, adding warmth and depth. The base of driftwood, sandalwood, and musk grounds the fragrance in a woody, powdery embrace, perfect for those who appreciate both nature and refinement.
Apply one to two sprays to pulse points — this parfum concentration is potent and long-lasting. The green top notes are bright but fade quickly, so it’s best suited for daytime wear when you want a fragrance that evolves gracefully throughout the day.
