The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2021 by Vilhelm Parfumerie and crafted by perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour, London Funk is a Woody Aromatic fragrance that captures the essence of an urban landscape. The composition opens with bright bergamot and cassis, giving way to a heart of juniper, basil, and cardamom — creating a fresh spicy complexity. At its base, driftwood, vetiver, mate, cedar, ambergris, and sandalwood provide earthy warmth and depth. This fragrance is neither strictly masculine nor feminine, offering a versatile blend that feels at home in the bustling streets of London.
London Funk has a strong opening that fades into its deeper notes over time. Apply one to two sprays on pulse points for a balanced experience — it's best worn close to skin rather than diffused in the room. This fragrance works well during cooler weather, where its woody warmth feels especially comforting.
