Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2024 and crafted by master perfumer Dominique Ropion, Y Elixir by Yves Saint Laurent is a deep woody-spicy take on the iconic Y fragrance. It opens with a crisp lavender heart, sourced exclusively from Provence for its distinctive freshness, which contrasts beautifully against the rich and warm base of oud and frankincense. The composition captures the essence of a self-accomplished man, blending exceptional raw materials into an enigmatic and intensely rich experience.
One to two sprays is enough, as the lavender top notes are bright but fleeting. The oud and frankincense base take time to bloom, so give it a few minutes to settle on your skin before heading out. This fragrance reads best close to the skin rather than across a room.
