Launched in 2018, 190 Ans de Création 1828-2018 by Guerlain is a floral fruity fragrance that pays homage to the brand's rich history since its founding in 1828. Perfumer Thierry Wasser crafted this scent as a tribute to Guerlain’s legacy of using luxurious and rare materials, blending the essence of French vanilla with ylang-ylang from their own plantations in Comoro Islands.
The composition opens with vibrant citrus notes that gradually give way to an almondy warmth, creating a harmonious balance between freshness and sweetness. A heart of white floral and yellow floral accords adds a delicate touch of femininity, while the base notes of amber and warm spices ground the fragrance in rich, enveloping comfort.
This fragrance blooms slowly over time, so an initial light spritz will allow the layers to unfold naturally. It pairs well with cooler evenings, where the warmth of amber and spices can be fully appreciated without overpowering.
