Launched in 2019 by Guerlain and crafted by perfumer Thierry Wasser, Les Absolus d'Orient Cuir Intense is a fragrance that embodies the rich heritage of this legendary French perfume house. The composition opens with osmanthus and ylang-ylang, creating an aromatic floral warmth that transitions into a complex heart of leather, musk, and tobacco. This blend creates a subtle tension between sweet florals and animalic undertones, culminating in a woody base of sandalwood and virginian cedar that adds depth and longevity.
Apply one or two sprays to pulse points; the floral top notes are bright but fleeting. The deep, leathery base will emerge gradually over time, so a single application in the morning should carry you through the day.
