Raffinee by Houbigant, launched in 1982, is a warm and spicy Oriental floral fragrance that encapsulates the elegance of its French heritage. The composition opens with bright citrus and aromatic notes like bergamot and clary sage, giving way to a lush heart of carnation, plum, rose, jasmine, and orange blossom. This floral bouquet is anchored by a rich base of tonka bean, vanilla, sandalwood, and musk, creating an opulent yet restrained warmth that lingers on the skin.
Raffinee's warm base notes develop slowly on the skin, so applying it in the morning allows the scent to build throughout the day. Use one or two sprays to ensure the powdery and woody elements come through without overpowering the delicate floral top notes.
