HeartThe Soul
The story behind the bottle.
Mure et Musc by L'Artisan Parfumeur is a fragrance that embodies the essence of ripe blackberries and musk, capturing the sweet and earthy notes that define it. Created in 1978 by Jean-Francois Laporte, this unisex parfum opens with bright citrus and aromatic basil before giving way to the deep, lush red berries. The heart is a harmonious blend of blackberry and red berries, while the base of musk and oakmoss grounds it with warmth and earthiness. Mure et Musc was one of the early compositions that popularized the fruity-musky genre, setting the stage for many subsequent perfumes in this category.
Apply Mure et Musc sparingly as it is highly concentrated; one or two sprays are sufficient. Let it settle for about an hour before fully appreciating its depth and complexity. This fragrance pairs well with warm weather and intimate settings, where its rich notes can unfold close to the skin.
