Juliette Karagueuzoglou created A Balm Of Calm for Penhaligon's in 2023, weaving together an aromatic and woody composition that balances freshness with warmth. Clary sage and lavender form a serene top layer, while cardamom adds a subtle spiciness that cuts through the floral notes without overpowering them. The heart of iris and geranium deepens the complexity, supported by a base of sandalwood, vetiver, and oak, which grounds the scent with earthy richness.
Apply one or two sprays; the clary sage and lavender opening notes are fresh and immediate. The warm spicy base will gradually emerge over time, so it pairs well with activities that span several hours without needing a reapplication.
