Launched in 1910 by Penhaligon's and crafted by Nathalie Lorson, Cornubia is an Oriental Floral fragrance that captures the essence of a classic yet lasting elegance. The composition opens with bright mandarin orange and neroli before giving way to a heart of freesia and heliotrope, adding a powdery softness to the floral notes. This transition is complemented by the warmth of vanilla and amber in the base, creating a comforting and familiar aura that feels both nostalgic and modern.
Cornubia is best applied in small doses — one or two sprays are enough to let the powdery florals and warm base notes develop naturally. This fragrance reads better close to skin than across a room, making it perfect for intimate settings.
