Launched in 2017 by Tom Ford and crafted by perfumer Honorine Blanc, Noir Anthracite is a chypre fragrance that plays with contrasts and depth. The composition opens with a vibrant burst of Sichuan pepper and ginger, bringing an invigorating freshness to the senses. As it evolves, bergamot and spices intertwine with herbal notes like galbanum, creating a rich blend of warm and fresh spicy elements. The heart introduces jasmine for a touch of floral warmth, while the base layers in ebony, cedar, birch, leather, sandalwood, patchouli, and amberwood, resulting in an enveloping smoky and leathery finish.
Noir Anthracite has a strong projection, so one to two sprays is sufficient. Allow it to settle for about an hour before fully experiencing its depth. It works well in cooler weather but can also be worn year-round as it balances spicy freshness with warm leathery tones.
