The story behind the bottle.
Vanille Fatale by Tom Ford, launched in 2017 and crafted by Yann Vasnier, is an Oriental Vanilla fragrance that weaves together warm spices, sweet vanilla, and a hint of tobacco. The composition opens with rum, myrrh, and olibanum before transitioning into the heart notes of saffron, coriander, orange, and lime. These bright, aromatic elements give way to a rich base of Madagascar vanilla, suede, mahogany, patchouli, and oakmoss, creating an enveloping warmth that feels both luxurious and intimate.
Vanille Fatale is best applied generously to pulse points for maximum impact. The fragrance takes about an hour to fully settle on the skin, so give it time to develop before stepping out. It reads better close to the skin than from a distance.
