Behind The Seen by Valentino is a Woody Spicy fragrance that offers an unprecedented blend of high-quality woods around vetiver, capturing the hedonistic spirit of Rome. Created in 2024 by perfumers Anne Flipo and Delphine Lebeau, this composition opens with turmeric's warm spicy note, leading into a heart of hazelnut, geranium, and orris that adds an earthy and enveloping intensity. The base notes of vetiver, cedar, and sandalwood create an elegant, modern addiction that resonates with the addictive texture of a hazelnut accord.
Two sprays to start — the turmeric top note is intense but fleeting. The base notes take about an hour to fully bloom, so give it time to settle into your skin for a more nuanced experience.
