Launched in 2004, Comme des Garçons Series 6 Synthetic: Tar by Nathalie Feisthauer is a fragrance that defies traditional boundaries. The composition blends aldehydic and camphor notes with leather and woody accords to create an olfactory experience that is both fresh and spicy, yet deeply earthy and balsamic. This avant-garde scent captures the essence of Rei Kawakubo's anti-fashion philosophy, offering a distinctive blend that feels both modern and lasting.
One or two sprays are sufficient — the aldehydic notes open up quickly but settle into a more complex profile as they blend with the base. Best worn in cooler weather when its earthy warmth can be fully appreciated.
