Launched in 2017 by Guerlain and crafted by perfumer Thierry Wasser, Habit Rouge Dress Code 2017 is a composition that blends sweet and woody accords with aromatic and citrus notes. The fragrance opens with bright bergamot and neroli, providing a fresh and uplifting start before transitioning into the heart of spices and rose. This creates an intriguing tension between brightness and warmth. Cedar, patchouli, praline, vanilla, tonka bean, and vetiver form the base, offering a rich and enveloping finish that is both comforting and sophisticated.
Apply Habit Rouge Dress Code 2017 with a light hand — the praline and vanilla notes can be quite pronounced. The base notes take about an hour to fully bloom, so plan accordingly. This fragrance reads better close to skin than from across a room.
