The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 1925 by Houbigant, Bois Dormant is a Chypre Floral fragrance that bridges the gap between nature and sophistication. The composition opens with green aldehydes and bergamot, creating an immediate sense of freshness. As it evolves, galbanum and artemisia add earthy depth, while costus and carnation bring a subtle spiciness. The heart of jasmine and rose softens these contrasts before the fragrance settles into a rich base of sandalwood, oakmoss, and amber. This blend is both lasting and evocative, capturing the essence of Parisian elegance.
