The story behind the bottle.
Savoy Steam, launched in 2017 by Penhaligon's and crafted by perfumer Juliette Karagueuzoglou, is a fragrance built on the tension between freshness and warmth. The composition opens with eucalyptus, rosemary, pink pepper, and mint — notes that create an invigorating aromatic quality. As it settles into its heart of bergamot, lemon, rose, tea, geranium, and hedione, the scent shifts to a more balanced interplay between floral and green notes. The base layers of cardamom, white musk, vanilla, incense, and benzoin bring warmth and depth, grounding the overall composition in an earthy, slightly spicy finish.
Apply one or two sprays for a balanced experience. The aromatic top notes are bright but fleeting, so ensure you capture the base notes as well by allowing it to settle into your skin for a few minutes before heading out.
