The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2014 by Shiseido and crafted by perfumer Michel Almairac, Zen Moon Essence is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women. The composition opens with the bright burst of pear, pineapple, and grapefruit, creating an immediate sense of freshness and vitality. This citrusy brightness gradually gives way to a heart of rose, jasmine, magnolia, and freesia, which adds layers of sweetness and floral complexity. As it settles into its base notes of patchouli, vanilla, white musk, amber, and cashmere wood, the fragrance transforms into a warm, enveloping embrace that feels both comforting and sophisticated.
Apply this fragrance in light layers — it blooms beautifully on skin within an hour. The initial burst of citrus fades quickly, so it's best suited for daytime wear when you want a fresh, floral presence that gradually deepens into something warm and comforting.
