The story behind the bottle.
Fleur de Portofino by Tom Ford was launched in 2015 and is a creation of perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux. This fragrance opens with a bright citrus-aromatic blend, featuring tangerine, bergamot, and Sicilian lemon that create an immediate freshness. The heart notes are dominated by syringa, jasmine, magnolia, and osmanthus, which bring a lush floral bouquet to the composition. These florals are complemented by sweet elements like orange blossom, Moroccan rose, and black locust honey, adding depth and warmth. The base includes ambrette, civet, vanilla, tolu balsam, and labdanum, creating an enduring sweetness that lingers throughout.
Apply this fragrance to pulse points for an initial burst of freshness. The florals will bloom within an hour, so avoid layering heavily — one or two sprays are sufficient. It pairs well with daytime activities but can also transition into early evening.
