Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2018 by Yves Saint Laurent, Black Opium Gold Attraction Edition is a sophisticated Oriental Vanilla fragrance created by perfumers Nathalie Lorson, Marie Salamagne, Olivier Cresp, and Honorine Blanc. This composition opens with pear and pink pepper, creating an initial burst of freshness that contrasts beautifully against the rich vanilla and coffee notes that follow. The heart features orange blossom and jasmine, adding a delicate floral touch before settling into a warm base of cedar, patchouli, and cashmere wood, which provides a smooth, enveloping finish.
Apply this fragrance to pulse points for maximum impact. The pear and pink pepper notes are fleeting, so ensure you capture the richness of the base notes by applying it close to your skin. It pairs well with a light jacket or wrap, allowing the warmth to be felt more than smelled from afar.
