The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2022, Black Opium Illicit Green by Yves Saint Laurent was created by perfumers Nathalie Lorson and Olivier Cresp. This fragrance blends the sweet charm of vanilla and coffee with a fresh burst of green mandarin and fig leaf, creating an intriguing contrast between warmth and freshness. The heart notes of orange blossom and jasmine add a delicate floral touch, while patchouli provides a grounding earthiness that keeps the composition from feeling too saccharine.
Apply this fragrance to pulse points for a balanced experience. The green mandarin and fig leaf will fade within an hour, so give it time for the rich base notes like patchouli and bourbon vanilla to emerge. It’s best worn in cooler weather when its warmth can be fully appreciated.
