Launched in 2016, Black Opium Wild Edition by Yves Saint Laurent is a fragrance that takes the bold spirit of its predecessor and infuses it with an even more intense, spicy edge. Created by perfumers Nathalie Lorson, Marie Salamagne, Olivier Cresp, and Honorine Blanc, this Oriental Vanilla scent opens with pear and pink pepper, creating a fresh yet intriguing contrast before diving into the heart of coffee, jasmine, and orange blossom. The base notes of vanilla, patchouli, cashmere wood, and cedar anchor the composition in warmth and depth.
Apply this fragrance in layers for maximum impact. The spicy top notes will dissipate quickly, so follow up with additional sprays every couple of hours to maintain its rich complexity throughout the day.
