The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2023 by Rabanne, 1 Million Golden Oud is a creation from perfumer Christophe Raynaud. This fragrance opens with the sharp freshness of bergamot and black pepper, creating an immediate tension that is grounded by the rich warmth of oud and leather. The heart of nutmeg and saffron adds a luxurious depth, while patchouli and cedarwood in the base provide earthy, powdery notes that make it feel both opulent and intimate.
Apply one generous spritz to your pulse points — the fresh spicy top notes will fade within an hour but the rich base notes will linger throughout the day. This fragrance reads best close to skin rather than across a room, so layer it carefully for maximum impact.

Christophe Raynaud
Architect first, craftsman secondChristophe Raynaud is a perfumer who describes himself as a craftsman with the sensitivity of an artist. He begins each fragrance with a raw olfactory block, working for hours to shape it as a sculptor would — first as architect, then as craftsman.
